You won't regret buying a Savage. I just learned to ride last summer and bought a new Savage. I started out on a Yamaha 550 enduro, but just wasn't comfortable with it because I couldn't plant both feet firmly on the ground. The Savage is light weight, comfortable, looks great, and has enough power to keep up with my SO on his Harley. Good luck and welcome to the family.
